In Byron Bay, election day (March 28) is Harmony Day! There will be music, dancing and food from all corners of the globe: African, Spanish, Latin American, Indian, Middle Eastern and Indonesian.
It’s all happening at Main Beach, Byron Bay and will run from 12pm until 9pm.
In recent times there have been many important issues affecting our community and environment so for this reason Byron Harmony Day will for the first time provide an Open Mike in our most central location for our community to ‘Express Yourself’ and share your concerns.
For Byron Harnony Day 2015 the theme will be ‘Harmony Between All People and Harmony with the Earth’ based on the Balinese principle of Tri Hati Karana. In the culture of Bali the principle of Tri Hita Karana symbolizes the three aspects that bring about wellbeing. These harmonious relationships are spiritual harmony with the creator, harmony between all humanity and harmony with the environment and all living creatures.
