Kirsteen Slessor

Kirsteen’s passion for property started in Aberdeen, Scotland as a Junior Leasing executive for a large National Landlord in their residential portfolios, often catering to the needs of corporate clients in the Oil and Gas region where she grew up.

Almost 20 years later and with many adventures in her career in Retail & Commercial Property, she has found herself in Byron Bay. She first visited Byron in 2008 and was instantly drawn to its rich & diverse nature. She made a goal at that time to make sure she could work on this coast one day.

With her extensive experience in various retail leasing & property management roles over her career, from working with small private family property owners to being the leasing manager for large retail assets for publicly listed funds, she was exposed to many different demographics across Australia. Add in the volatile economic changes in some of these regions, she has developed a very agile approach to her work.

Her wonderous nature fits a role in Commercial Property well. A finder and seeker at heart, she is here to add value to her client’s properties. She aims to always provide a well-educated business acumen.

Her ability to seek out opportunities and provide solutions is her mantra. From managing small maintenance issues on her assets to advising clients on the leasing & tenancy mix, her strategic skills bring a confident & trusting relationship with her clients.

With her passion for all things retail from small business, to her established network she understands the needs of large brands in their store acquisition. This along with her well-traveled worldly vision fits the Byron Bay culture well.

She learned early in her career, the need for flexibility in an ever-changing commerce environment, and she is a well-skilled & intuitive negotiator.

She has a great eye for design and enjoys overseeing her properties during the whole process of leasing, from the initial viewing to overseeing a property fit-out, always pushing for a quality building project. She has a very hands-on approach throughout the process until the premises is open for trade.

In her free time, Kirsteen can be found chasing after a ball on the AFL field, attempting to surf, enjoying nature, gardening, and attending yoga.
